چکیده The use of textiles as a reinforcer in composites is great importance. It reduces construction costs, increases process capability, and provides good mechanical properties. It provides composite hardness and strength as well as being capable of flexural behavior. Therefore, in this study, we have studied the mechanical properties of woven polyester yarns with different deniers and textures in order to evaluate its use as a reinforcing component of composites. For this purpose, sample fabrics with different deniers and textures are woven and were tested. Finally the results were analyzed by SPSS software. In this experiment, the reinforcement of the fabric with Styrofoam greatly affected the amount of force that is tolerated in the bending and tensile tests, so that the yarn denier in the fabric does not have a significant effect on the reinforcement. Also, the thicker Styrofoam can handle more force.
